AMERICA's Cup is our annual mid-year roleplaying tournament.
It runs over an entire weekend during the Inter-semester holidays, and primarily consists of four systemless roleplaying games and an evening LARP, although additional options such as RPGA games are typically available as well. The event is concluded with a prizegiving dinner on the Sunday night where we award the most talented and entertaining roleplayers and GMs that took part in the event, and where we chat about all the awesome events that happened during the games.
The judging for the systemless tournament is done with each GM giving every player a score for each game. Players are rotated so they get different GM's for each game. The marks are then totaled and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awarded. We also award a best of session for each game (excluding place holders).
Although it is a tournament, and the roleplaying is judged, the point of America's Cup is not to win but to have fun. The games are designed to be enjoyable and a good time is had by all. The game's have always had a high standard and many past games are still remembered as some of the best roleplaying games ever.
