Ink Forge

This year BattleCry and Drawfest New Zealand are working together to include something new. The events will be called Ink Forge and will include a drawing, creative writing and discussional workshop in the Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon slots for an entry fee of $5 per afternoon (or price included if you have paid for the weekend).

Drawfest organises drawing events around New Zealand, for the artistically minded, getting people together, collaborating or just having some fun. Drawfest New Zealand have a website here http://www.drawfest.deviantart.com/

We hope if there is enough interest that future Ink Forge events might happen at future BattleCry's and maybe an anthology of work created at BattleCry might be published. (or at the least some artwork and stories for future PseudoDragons :) ) We would like to invite you along to the workshops.

We are also providing special stall tables for people attending the Ink Forge events. So you can spend some time selling your works, and spend some time creating something new. If you would like to book a trade stall for the weekend we are only charging $10 per table per day of BattleCry. So if you would like 1 table for the 2 days, it will cost you $20. Let us know if you want to book a trade stall, cut off for this is 15th February. (Contact Karen - info@theamericaclub.net.nz)

The afternoon workshops will be run in one of the classrooms of the Selwyn College block, the room will be marked out on the maps as the Art Barracks. If you know of anyone who might be interested in coming along to take part in this particular event, please forward this information on to them.

Part of the inspiration behind this is that we have a number of people working on rpg's, board games and card games. Here is a possible opportunity to chat to illustrators who might create what you have been working on, and vise versa. It's a trial event for 2010 to see how running workshops at BattleCry will go, so we will be looking for feedback on this event after BattleCry. Thanks.
