DBMM240 at Battlecry 2010

Umpire: Andrew Bennetts, who will play as required to ensure an even number of entries.

Rules: The full standard DBMM v1.1 rules will be used except as modified below.

Figure Scale: 25mm (20-28mm figures).

Table size: 6 feet (1800mm) x 4 feet (1200mm).

Army Size: 240AP using published Books 1-3 and latest available draft of Book 4. List to be submitted to the umpire by 31 January 2010.

Rounds: Rounds will be of 2.5 hours duration with 3 rounds per day. Exact start times for each round will be published before the event.

AP costs:
As per the standard rules with the following exceptions:
• The additional cost for a general is halved, rounding up.
Eg - a Reg Cv(S) general costs 20AP: 10AP for Reg Cv(S) + 10AP (20/2) as a Regular General
• A Brilliant General costs an additional 12AP
• An Inert CinC is reduced by 37AP but the total AP value of his command must be positive
• An Inert Ally General is reduced by 12AP but the total AP value of his command must be positive
• All stratagems cost half the specified value, rounding up.

Organising Your Army:
As per the standard rules with the following exceptions:
• The maximum number of generals that can be used is 3.
• Baggage is limited to 0-1 element per command
• Maximum and minimum numbers of troop elements and PF, TF and FO sections in each list are halved, rounding up to the nearest single element.
• Maximum numbers for Pikes are rounded up to the next highest 4 elements, other maximums rounding is to the next highest single element
• The maximum size for and ambush is 4 elements

Terrain:
As per the standard rules with the following exceptions:
• The minimum and maximum numbers of terrain feature equivalents (FE) allowed to each side is reduced by 1.
• Sea, waterways, lakes and rivers are 1 FE, and their maximum extension inland is reduced by 160p.
• One area feature can be of 1 FE size. All other area features must be ½ FE.
• All terrain piece dimensions are 2/3 of those specified in the rules.

Deployment:
As per the standard rules with the following exceptions:
• The army deploying first must not deploy any elements or obstacles further forward than 120p short of the battlefield centre line, or the other army any elements or obstacles further forward than 200p short of the battlefield centre line, unless in a fortified BUA or in ambush.
• No element can deploy less than 120p from an enemy fortification.
• Neither side can deploy light troops, a general’s element grouped with these or Baggage (F) less than 200p or other land elements less than 400p from a short battlefield edge, except as ambushers or in a fortified BUA.

Pre-registration - Prior to November 1st 2009 $25

Pre-registration - November 1st to January 31st $35

Anyone who pre-registers and pays after Nov 1st but before Jan 31st will receive one extra free raffle ticket and a personalised Lanyard ID.

Pre-registration - Paying On the Day option $40

To play in this tournament you must register before Jan 31st as Army lists must be submitted by Jan 31st. You must also be able to play in all rounds over the two days of BattleCry.
